Trevor Owens' Javelin raises $1.5MM led by Upfront Ventures

Techstars startup Javelin Inc. has raised $1.5 million to continue bringing the “lean startup” philosophy to corporations, VentureWire has learned.

Trevor Owens (Iowa State University alumnus), the founder of Javelin the company that produces the Lean Startup Machine program. According to the article, Javelin has 10 employees and had revenues of $1MM in 2013. The valuation was "north of $5 million" and in addition Upfront Ventures the round include Eric Reis and "more than a dozen individual investors".
